Wallet Reset
A wallet reset permanently deletes your existing Rumble Wallet and creates a new one. You may need a reset if your wallet is in a broken state or you want to start fresh with a new wallet and secret phrase.
What happens when your wallet is reset
Once your wallet is reset, the following changes are permanent and cannot be undone.
- Your existing wallet and all associated data are permanently deleted.
- Cloud backups of your secret phrase are deleted.
- A new wallet is created with a new secret phrase.
- All Tip Jar addresses change, which means previously generated QR codes will no longer work.
If you have your old secret phrase backed up offline, you can still access funds at your old wallet addresses using an external wallet. See the Wallet Recovery Guide for instructions.
Before you request a reset
If you still have access to your Rumble Wallet, back up your secret phrase before requesting a reset. Go to Profile > Security > Reveal Secret Phrase and write it down. Once the reset is processed, your cloud backup will be deleted and you will not be able to recover it.
Before contacting support, make sure you understand:
- The reset is irreversible — your current wallet, data, and cloud backups will be permanently deleted.
- Any QR codes you've shared publicly (on your channel page, social media, etc.) will stop working and need to be replaced.
- You will need to set up a new wallet from scratch after the reset.
How to request a wallet reset
- Contact Rumble Support.
- Request a wallet reset.
- You will be asked to provide explicit consent for the reset, including acknowledgment that your cloud backups will be deleted.
- The Rumble team will process the reset.
- You will be notified when the reset is complete.
After the reset
Once your wallet has been reset:
- Open the Rumble Wallet app and follow the setup process to create your new wallet. See Set Up Your Rumble Wallet for a walkthrough.
- Store your new secret phrase securely — both in the cloud and offline. See the Secret Phrase FAQ for best practices.
- Your new wallet will have new Tip Jar addresses and QR codes. Update any QR codes you've published on your channel page, social media, or other platforms.
