Secret Phrase Not Recognized

If the Rumble Wallet app doesn't recognize your secret phrase when you try to restore your wallet, follow the steps below to troubleshoot.

Check if your wallet has a balance

If your wallet is empty, it may be easier to reset your wallet and start fresh rather than troubleshoot the restore. See Wallet Reset for details.

Try Recovery mode

If your wallet has a balance, try signing in using Recovery mode:

  1. On the Rumble Wallet app's landing page, select Login with your Rumble Secret Phrase.
  2. Enter your 12-word secret phrase.

If Recovery mode works

Your secret phrase is valid and is associated with your Rumble Wallet account. Contact Rumble Support and let them know that your secret phrase works in Recovery mode but is not accepted during a standard restore. The team will investigate the issue.

If Recovery mode does not work

Your secret phrase may not match the wallet you are trying to restore. To verify:

  1. Follow the Wallet Recovery Guide to import your secret phrase into an external wallet (such as MetaMask or Trust Wallet).
  2. Check whether the address shown in the external wallet matches your Rumble Wallet address.
  3. Contact Rumble Support and provide the address from the external wallet so the team can investigate further.
Find your Tip Jar address

If you need to look up your wallet address or check your balance without app access, see Check Tip Jar Balance.
